Meet Our Team
Michael joined the Dunwoody Nature Center in January as Executive Director after more than 25 years in the corporate world–most recently leading the Accessories Team at AT&T. A native Georgian, he has lived in Dunwoody over 20 years with his wife and two kids and has been active in many community organizations. He graduated with a BS from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Emory. He has served as Chairman of the city’s Sustainability Committee since 2016. He loves hiking and being in the outdoors, traveling to National Parks, jigsaw puzzles, audiobooks and beagles. He is addicted to composting, trees, pulling invasive plants & recycling.
Susan has worked at the Dunwoody Nature Center for 8 years and oversees our finances for us. She has held leadership positions in corporate, government and non-profit organizations. In her free time, she travels, swims, reads, does yoga and cooks for family and friends.
Environmental Education Director
Holly Loscavio has been a program manager and camp director since 2015 and loves teaching environmental education to children. Holly really enjoys teaching one of the Mommy and Me classes and introducing little ones to nature. Holly has a BS in Conservation Biology from Brigham Young University and has taught non-formal science education since 1994. Holly’s hobbies include long distance running, hiking, plant identification, playing the guitar and spending time with her five children ranging in age from 24-9.
Environmental Education Manager
Darcy has worked at the Nature Center since 2018 as an educator, building host, and Sunday program coordinator before taking on the role of Environmental Education Manager in fall 2020. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism and loves teaching children and adults about nature and science. In her free time she enjoys camping with friends and family, reading, painting, and looking for critters in creeks.
Director of Development
Debbie joined the Nature Center in January 2020 and oversees our development, membership and rental programs. She has worked at several non-profits and in education. She is a native Georgian and loves spending her free time hiking, practicing yoga and being with her family.
Madhav is responsible for managing our rental facility program, special event coordination, and general infrastructural organization. He graduated from Georgia State University, with a B.S. in Public Health, and plans on pursuing graduate school in hopes of earning his Masters in Public Health, with a concentration in Policy & Management. In his free time, he enjoys staying active and exercising.
Marketing & Operations Manager
Charles manages all marketing and operations initiatives in the Nature Center, including the Volunteer Program. He graduated with honors from Tulane University, with a B.S. in Marketing and Finance and a minor in Music Theory. After working in advertising for many years in Manhattan, he is excited to have an office out in the woods. When he is not planning marketing strategies, Charles enjoys drinking tea (loose leaf of course), playing music, and listening to podcasts.
