Meet Our Team
Nancy joined the Nature Center in August 2021 as the Executive Director. She has a B.A. in psychology from Rutgers University. Nancy started her career in corporate marketing before transitioning to nonprofit management. She has held leadership positions at several non-profits in Metro Atlanta. Nancy loves spending her free time hiking, traveling, being in nature and enjoying everything Metro Atlanta has to offer with family and friends.
Susan oversees the Nature Center’s finances. She has a B.A. from Notre Dame of Maryland and an MBA from Emory University. Susan has held leadership positions in corporate, government and non-profit organizations.
Debbie joined the Nature Center in January 2020 as the Director for our development, membership and rental programs. She has a B.A. in journalism from the University of Georgia and has worked at several non-profits and in education. She is a native Georgian and loves spending her free time hiking, practicing yoga and being with her family.
Environmental Education Director
Holly Loscavio has been a program manager and camp director since 2015 and loves teaching environmental education to children. Holly really enjoys teaching one of the Mommy and Me classes and introducing little ones to nature. Holly has a B.S. in Conservation Biology from Brigham Young University and has taught non-formal science education since 1994. Holly’s hobbies include long distance running, hiking, plant identification, playing the guitar and spending time with her five children ranging in age from 24-9.
Environmental Education Manager
Darcy worked at the Nature Center since 2018 as an educator, building host, and Sunday program coordinator before taking on the role of Environmental Education Manager in Fall 2020. She graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.S. in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism, and loves teaching children and adults about nature and science. In her free time, she enjoys camping with friends and family, reading, painting, and looking for critters in creeks.
Marketing & Office Manager
Laura has been a member of the Dunwoody Nature Center since 2013, and has been a marketing professional for over ten years. She is responsible for all our marketing efforts, including public relations. Laura also handles facilities upkeep, certification, and licensing. She has a B.S. in International Studies from the University of Central Florida. Laura’s hobbies include cooking, reading, cheering on the Braves, and watching her daughter play travel softball.
Development & Rentals Manager
Madhav is responsible for managing our rental facility program, special event coordination, and general infrastructural organization. He graduated from Georgia State University, with a B.S. in Public Health, and plans on pursuing graduate school in hopes of earning his Masters in Public Health, with a concentration in Policy & Management. In his free time, he enjoys staying active and exercising.
