Benefits of Membership
NOTE: Our membership benefits have been updated for 2026. Poplar memberships have increased to $85 and composting is now available to Maple members as well as Hickory, Beech, and Oak. If you purchased a Poplar membership before January 1, 2026, your membership cost will remain $75 until your annual renewal date.

COMPOSTING
Enjoy hassle-free compost drop-off anytime during park hours, from dawn to dusk. Composting at Dunwoody Nature Center is an easy, cost-effective way for members to cut down on food waste entering the landfill. Available to Maple, Hickory, Beech, and Oak members.
Our compost bins can accept food scraps like fruit and vegetable scraps, meat, fish, dairy, eggs, bread, pasta, coffee grounds, and tea (remove staples from tea bags), along with paper products like pizza boxes, paper towels, and newspaper, yard waste, natural fabrics, and certified compostable items. You’ll lower harmful emissions, save money (compared to paying for a composting service at home), and increase sustainability in our community!
SUMMER CAMP BENEFITS
Members at Dunwoody Nature Center can register their children for summer camp early AND receive an exclusive discount. Registering for camp early ensures your child gets a spot and experiences the wonder of nature like never before.
Dunwoody Nature Center’s outdoor summer camps are week-long day nature-themed camp experiences for children ages 4-13. Combining traditional day camp fun and sleepaway camp activities, we offer the best of both worlds to kids of all backgrounds. A rotating set of themed camps keeps kids engaged in age-appropriate activities that inspire a love of nature through exciting adventures in the great outdoors.
FESTIVAL BENEFITS
Butterfly Experience is Dunwoody Nature Center’s annual fall festival giving our community a unique experience to interact with these powerful pollinators.
