Second Saturday Volunteering

Looking for a meaningful way to spend your Saturday morning? Join us at Dunwoody Nature Center for Second Saturday Volunteers—a monthly community event where your time and energy directly support the health and beauty of our natural spaces. Whether you’re passionate about environmental conservation, fulfilling service hours, or simply want to meet like-minded neighbors, your efforts help us protect native habitats and keep our trails and grounds thriving year-round.

What You’ll Do:

  • Trail Maintenance: Keep our scenic trails safe and enjoyable for visitors

  • Plant Native Species: Promote biodiversity and support local wildlife

  • Remove Invasives: Protect our ecosystem by clearing non-native plants

  • General Upkeep: Tackle seasonal projects that beautify the park

All tools and supplies are provided! Just wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing, closed-toe shoes, and bring a reusable water bottle.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to dig in and make a difference. Whether you come solo or bring friends and family, you’ll leave with a sense of purpose and connection.

To learn more, email volunteer@dunwoodynature.org or call (770) 394-3322.

Make a difference—see you there!
