Gardening For Bats & Bat Watch

Discover all the wonderful benefits of bats with our educator and liaison for the GA Bat Working Group, Rose Guerra.

Bats are weird and wonderful! Did you know that there are more important things than bat boxes if you want to attract bats to your yard? While some Georgia bat species are being decimated by an introduced fungus that causes White-Nose Syndrome, the Georgia DNR is fighting to prevent our bats from extinction. Find out how you can help!

We will also go for a bat watch with Rose to see if we spot any of our flying friends! Please wear good shoes for walking our trails.

Registration closes October 22nd. If you are interested in attending after the deadline, please email autumn@dunwoodynature.org to check availability.
