Free First Saturday: Decomposers, Nature’s Recyclers

Join a Dunwoody Nature Center educator for a fascinating, family-friendly exploration of the incredible organisms that break down waste and recycle nutrients back into our ecosystem. We’ll dig into the world of fungi, worms, beetles, millipedes, and other creepy-crawly decomposers, discovering their unique adaptations and why life on Earth simply couldn’t exist without them. This free, hands-on program includes an interactive introduction, up-close observation of live decomposers, and a short outdoor exploration to hunt for them in their natural habitat.
