Adult Clay Class

Create your own leaf plate inspired by the shapes and textures you find in nature. In this clay workshop, Lilly Vicens of Tulip Tree Tales (a pottery studio based in Suwanee) will show you how to press real leaves into stoneware clay. From there, you’ll shape your plate, add details, and use brush-on glazes to bring out the beautiful textures. Each piece will be kiln-fired at Tulip Tree Tales pottery studio and ready for pickup at Dunwoody Nature Center in about two weeks. Your finished plate can be used as a small dish or a decorative piece, and makes for a great handmade gift.

Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the start time to get settled. No refunds or cancellations after one week prior to the class date. If the class minimum is not met you will receive a full refund.
