Adult Clay Class

Create your very own fairy house in this fun clay workshop for adults! Guided by Lilly Vicens of Tulip Tree Tales (a pottery studio based in Suwanee), you’ll learn clay techniques and bring a whimsical woodland dwelling to life. Class begins with a hands-on demonstration from Lilly, then you’ll shape stoneware clay into a charming fairy cottage—complete with creative details like tiny doors, textured rooftops, winding vines, or anything your creativity dreams up. Brush-on glazes let you personalize your piece with colors and finishes. This workshop is open to beginners and seasoned potters alike. Finished pieces will be kiln-fired at Tulip Tree Tales pottery studio and ready to pick up at Dunwoody Nature Center in approximately 2 weeks.

Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the start time to get settled. No refunds or cancellations after one week prior to the class date. If the class minimum is not met you will receive a full refund.

About the instructor: Lilly Vicens is a ceramic artist inspired by the natural world. She makes both sculptural and functional pottery from her home studio in Suwanee, often incorporating native plants from her garden into her work to highlight the beauty of native ecosystems. This is Lilly’s fourth year teaching mobile clay classes in the North Metro Atlanta area, and she enjoys sharing her love of pottery with people of all ages.
