Meet Our Storytellers: Josie Bailey

Josie Bailey has performed in hundreds of schools, churches, festivals, and retirement community centers. Since 1993, Ms. Bailey has been touring the southeastern United States to share the art of storytelling.
Through body movements, literary magical voices, dialects and colorful garments, Josie presents original stories and beloved works that will delight all ages. Her stories often reflect her African-American roots, and a bit of history.

Meet Our Storytellers: Chetter Galloway

Virginia native Chetter Galloway grew up hearing his father tell stories on
Sunday road trips, so, it’s no wonder that his background is rooted heavily in the African oral tradition. From coast to coast and parts unknown, he shares anything from folktales to personal narratives and all genres in between. He has performed for venues such as the Smithsonian, National Association of Black Storytellers Festival, National Parks Service, and worked with schools through Young Audiences. Engaging and entertaining, he invites you to Feel the Rhythm and Live the Story!
