  • Explore wetlands, trails, and Wildcat Creek throughout 22 acres of Dunwoody Park.
  • Enjoy a campfire, songs, and games.
  • Roast marshmallows and make s’mores.
  • Learn camping skills with one of our experienced naturalists.

Call the Dunwoody Nature Center’s Program Office at 770-394-3322 or email us to schedule your program.

Private Night Hike

Schedule your group to attend a private night hike with one of our program leaders! Learn about nocturnal animals while hiking our trails after sunset; play games and roast s’mores over a campfire in our historic fireplace. This program is 2.5 hours long — one hour for a program leader-led hike, and the rest of the time by the campfire for you to fill how you like.

  • $300 minimum for up to 20 participants – $15 for each additional participant.

To schedule your visit, please call 770-394-3322 to find a date and time on our calendar. Then pay a nonrefundable $50 deposit to secure your spot. The remaining balance ($250) is due two weeks prior to the program date. Additional participants can be paid for on the day of the program.

Use of the fireplace and making of s’mores is weather dependent.

Camping 101

Designed on the Girl Scout Junior Camper badge, your troop can complete all the requirements of the Camper badge, without having to stay overnight! During this 2-hour program, your troop will learn how to build a campfire, cook s’mores, learn what it means to “Leave No Trace,” and go on a nighttime hike. You will have time left at the end to spend with your troop around the fire, and you are free to include any other activities you like.

  • $200 minimum for up to 10 scouts. $15 for each additional scout. Adults are free.

To schedule your visit, please call 770-394-3322 to find a date and time on our calendar. Then pay the $200 minimum to reserve the spot. Additional participants can be paid for on the day of the program.

Use of the fireplace and making of s’mores is weather dependent.
