Youth Leadership Workshop

June 1-2, 2020

9:30AM-3:30PM

The Dunwoody Nature Center is excited to offer a fun and innovative leadership workshop for rising 10th grade through rising 12th graders.  This workshop will be held at Island Ford Park, located just a few miles from the Nature Center on the Chattahoochee River.

Participants will experience team building activities, build leadership skills, study environmental science, and practice canoeing, hiking, and rafting, all based around environmental stewardship.

In addition to a skill-building workshop experience, we are offering TERRA graduates the opportunity to interview for our paid Junior Counselor part- time job to assist with the Adventure Club child-care at the Dunwoody Nature Center Summer Camp.  Graduates of the TERRA program can be hired for a certain number of weeks (depending on availability) to work in our aftercare programs where they will assist camp teachers with activities and teach environmental stewardship to our younger campers.

Applications Accepted February 1 – May 1, 2020

To apply, click TERRA Application 2020 to complete the online application.  Click TERRA reference form to share the link with those who will provide your two required references.  Applications will be accepted through May 1.
