Kids Clay Class
In this hands-on class, Lilly Vicens of Tulip Tree Tales (a pottery studio based in Suwanee) will guide your child in creating a one-of-a-kind nature-themed tic tac toe board. Using stoneware clay and brush-on glazes, they’ll shape and decorate their own board and game pieces. Game pieces can be shaped like leaves, flowers, animals, or anything nature-inspired. Kids will learn simple handbuilding techniques while using their creativity and adding charming details to their pieces. Once completed, the boards and pieces will be kiln-fired at Tulip Tree Tales and returned to Dunwoody Nature Center in about two weeks for pickup. Recommended for children ages 7-12. Email caitlin@dunwoodynature.org with questions.
Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to the start time to get settled. No refunds or cancellations after one week prior to the class date. If the class minimum is not met you will receive a full refund.
