Vaccines and Public Health | OWLS Adult Programming, Afternoon Session

NOTE: This class is part of the Afternoon Session: Healthy Mind: Healthy Body course for our adult programming series, OWLS. To learn more / register for this class, CLICK HERE. 

This class will explore the role vaccines have played in societal and health development.  Issues to be discussed include whether vaccines cause autism, what is herd immunity, and just how important is the flu shot. Come learn about how vaccines have been a cornerstone for healthcare and what their prevalent use has meant for medicine.

About OWLS Adult Programming:

OWLS is a NEW adult programming series that will focus on nature, health, and wellness. To ensure a socially safe environment, classes will be held outdoors on the grounds of the Nature Center.
The inaugural series will take place on Sept 18, Sept, 25, Oct 2, and Oct 16.
  • The Morning Session: Mother Nature and Me will have classes from 10:00am-12:00pm
  • The Afternoon Session: Healthy Mind: Healthy Body will have classes from 1:00pm-3:00pm
