November 17, 2020 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$10
Class write up:
In this class, students will have a chance to learn different ways to manage stress, worry and regulate emotions while having some fun and safely connecting with others. This is a brief overview of a handful of skills. It includes (very basic) beginner yoga, deep breathing and focusing on your five senses (grounding) as well as experiencing nature in the beautiful backdrop of Dunwoody Nature Center. This class is geared toward upper elementary kids (ages 7-11). Please wear comfortable clothing. Bring a water bottle, a towel, or a yoga mat. I will also provide parents with a list of resources to further build your child’s resilience and practice their skills. We will be socially distanced and masks are strongly encouraged.
