Forest Walk with Kate Carson of ReForest Atlanta

Have you noticed things have been changing at DNC? Thanks to the hard work of volunteers and the dedication of the professionals from ReForest ATL, the Dunwoody Nature Center is saying goodbye to a park full of ivy and hello to space for natives to grow.

Join us Sunday, January 16th from 1-2pm for a guided walk through the Nature Center with expert Kate Carson. She will show you the work that has been done and where there is still progress to be made, tell you how they tackled those challenging areas, and teach you about native plants.

Registration is required as spaces are limited. Meet Kate in the lower parking lot near the public restrooms to begin the hike at 1pm. Masks and social distancing are encouraged.

ReForest ATL is an ecological restoration cooperative, serving the native habitats of the metro Atlanta area. They serve both public and private clientele, including parks and green spaces, home owner’s associations, conservation easements, and private landowners and use practices founded in ecology.
