Forest Walk with Kathryn Kolb: Forest Intelligence
July 22, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
$15
Dunwoody Nature Center is tucked between neighborhoods and is only a few minutes from a major shopping mall in Atlanta’s northern suburbs. Yet this nature preserve hosts over 20 acres of native woodlands, with two streams and a small wetland. Parts of the area show impacts of an old homestead and some farming, but this greenspace also holds remnants of the original forest with mature diverse tree canopy and many uncommon species. Join us for an evening walk through DNC’s unique landscape with expert Kathryn Kolb of EcoAddendum.
Our Forest Intelligence Walk, led by Kathryn Kolb, features highlights from all corners of the preserve. We’ll walk about 1.5 miles on easy, natural trails with a few gentle hills.
Register today! $15 for nonmembers/$10 for DNC members with code ECOA21.
This event and Eco-A’s Stewardship program at the Dunwoody Nature Center is supported in part by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
