February is a great time for bird watching here in Georgia! With resident and migratory birds passing through, and no leaves on the trees to block your view, there is no better time of year to grab your binoculars and hit the trails. Join a DNC educator as they lead you through the woods looking and listening for our feathery friends. This is a great program for beginners to experience birding and learn about the Great Backyard Bird Count—a citizen science project that happens mid-February.
This program will take place outdoors, and will meet in the Lower Meadow of the Dunwoody Nature Center near the historic fireplace.
Masks are encouraged when social distancing is not possible.
