Michael Cowan
Executive Director


Michael joined the Dunwoody Nature Center in January as Executive Director after more than 25 years in the corporate world–most recently leading the Accessories Team at AT&T. A native Georgian, he has lived in Dunwoody over 20 years with his wife and two kids and has been active in many community organizations. He graduated with a BS from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Emory. He has served as Chairman of the city’s Sustainability Committee since 2016. He loves hiking and being in the outdoors, traveling to National Parks, jigsaw puzzles, audiobooks and beagles. He is addicted to composting, trees, pulling invasive plants & recycling.

Susan has worked at the Dunwoody Nature Center for 8 years and oversees our finances for us. She has held leadership positions in corporate, government and non-profit organizations. In her free time, she travels, swims, reads, does yoga and cooks for family and friends.

Holly Loscavio
Program Manager


Holly Loscavio has been a program manager and camp director since 2015 and loves teaching environmental education to children.  Holly really enjoys teaching one of the Mommy and Me classes and introducing little ones to nature.  Holly has a BS in Conservation Biology from Brigham Young University and has taught non-formal science education since 1994.  Holly’s hobbies include long distance running, hiking, plant identification, playing the guitar and spending time with her five children ranging in age from 24-9.  

Caroline joined the Dunwoody Nature Center team in May 2018. She wears a few hats in the education department, as the weekend program manager, assistant camp director and head planner of the Butterfly Festival. Since graduating from UGA, she has acquired years of environmental education experience teaching students of all ages to be inspired and have a love for nature. Outside of work, Caroline enjoys running, hiking and cooking.

Debbie joined the Nature Center in January 2020 and oversees our development, membership and rental programs.  She has worked at several non-profits and in education.   She is a native Georgian and loves spending her free time hiking, practicing yoga and being with her family.

Madhav Dave
Rentals Manager

Madhav is responsible for managing our rental facility program, special event coordination, and general infrastructural organization. He graduated from Georgia State University, with a B.S. in Public Health, and plans on pursuing graduate school in hopes of earning his Masters in Public Health, with a concentration in Policy & Management. In his free time, he enjoys staying active and exercising.
