SUMMARY:Tai Chi at DNC
DESCRIPTION:Join us at DNC to learn Tai Chi Gung!\nTai Chi Gung is a 3,300-year-old practice that teaches you how to move, breathe, and focus so that the life force flows effortlessly between you and Nature. Tai Chi Gung, also known as “a Simple Yoga,” is a moving meditation that holds deep meaning in its name: “Tai” meaning grand, “Chi” for the vital life force (qi, or prana) flowing through all beings, and “Gung” for the sacred temple of our bodies. The figure eight movements throughout the standing practice bring the body and mind back into balance. You’ll learn how to release and how to master grounding as well as the ascending and descending energy. This series of ancient movements, aligned with a balanced breath, puts space between your thoughts, anchors you in the present, brings in greater soul energy, and allows you to release any stress or anxiety you may be experiencing.\nAbout the Instructor: Brian has been practicing Lao Tzu’s art of regeneration for more than 5 years and serves as the only Atlanta certified Tai Chi Gung instructor. A former college athlete and longtime practitioner of Ashtanga Yoga, Brian has long been committed to his physical health, but it was not until he found Master Lama Rasaji, and began practicing the 3,300-year-old Tai Chi Gung movements with balanced breath and focus that he began to experience a true transformation of mind, body, and spirit. Brian is now on a mission to share this ancient practice, a practice specifically designed for this time in history, with as many souls as possible in order to empower them to awaken their latent life force within and transform themselves from the inside out.
