Habitat Hideaway

Habitats serve as an animal’s home – and hiding place.  At Island Ford Park you can find a variety of animals and their diverse habitats.  Campers will learn the differences between forest, riparian, and pond habitats –  we will explore it all!  We’ll learn all about camouflage for the predator and the prey!  The colors, textures and materials in nature all serve as a hideaway for animals to survive.  Campers will discover and experiment with the intricacies of camouflage through cooperative games, activities and crafts.  We will also have fun canoeing and playing in the pond and Chattahoochee River. Ages 9-12
