Concert in the Park: Honeywood

July 1, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Honeywood is Atlanta’s homegrown jamgrass band!

Honeywood is an energetic musical experience with hot pickin’, killer grooves, rich harmonies, original tunes and choice covers suitable for dancing, toe-tapping, head-bobbing and smiling. This acoustic-electric jamgrass-style band with drums (also acoustic), inspired by classic and progressive bluegrass as well as jam-oriented rock and roots music.

Honeywood brings together the talents of Jason Koornick (mandolin, banjo, vocals. Formerly of Smokin’ Grass from Burlington, VT, also leads the Tuesday Bluegrass Jam at Steve’s Live Music), Jacques Dolan, (fiddle), Russell “RB” Brown (guitar, vocals. Also performs in the Flying Oatsman), Adrian Ash (bass) and Zach Harmison (drums). Drawing inspiration from classic bluegrass, acoustic Dead and jamgrass bands like Leftover Salmon, Yonder Mountain String Band Earth, String Cheese Incident and Railroad Earth. Honeywood is your ticket to bluegrass bliss.

Free for members! Join today and enjoy a summer full of music.

Costs for non-members: $5 adults; $3 students; free for children 3 and under. No advance ticket purchase is required.

Concerts are held in the meadow on our performance area in front of the old fireplace, under the shade of the sweetgum and magnolia trees.
